I came here to chew bubblegum and make indie horror games which support charities for those struggling with mental illnesses. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Greetings from NecroLycan Studios!

Well hello there, my fellow heathens! I am Dani AKA NecroLycan Studios. My role with such is game developer/writer/artist/voice actor/anything that needs to be done. Yes, you read that correctly; I'm a solo artist that makes everything from scripts to special effects in my games. It's a tough job, but the payoff is well worth the blood, sweat, and tears that I pour into my work. Now you may be wondering; what brings a solo indie game developer here to Newgrounds? Well, I will answer that as simply as I can.

Like everyone here, I am a proud gamer girl and have been since my younger years. I have many favorite games, but if I had to choose my favorite genre of all, I'd have to say it's the survival horror. The game that started it all for me was Alone In The Dark, a game that had me fascinated from the beginning. Then along came Resident Evil and Silent Hill. From that point forward, I was determined to learn all that I could about creative writing and art so that one day I could make my own video game.

Now let me be clear and say one thing; animation is not my forte. Never has, probably never will. I instead like to focus more on writing and artwork that draws you in further and further until it has you on the edge of your seat begging for more. I don't care for all the elaborate jump scares that most seem to really focus on; I consider myself more of an Alfred Hitchcock kind of girl that focuses on getting you hooked with words that paint a picture and put you in the story so to speak before dishing out the scares. And it's a result of this that I'll soon be releasing my first indie horror game very soon; 1245.

The unique thing that I always tell people is that I don't claim any monetary items from anything I create. Instead, I like to donate them to charities such as Scares That Care and my favorite of all- The National Association for Mental Illness AKA NAMI. As someone that lives with mental illness, I understand all too well the struggles that one suffers to live a normal life in a world where we face stigma and judgement from everyone who crosses our paths. I feel that if I can help at least one person who feels that no one can see them struggling to see that they are never alone, then my job will be well done. And I plan to start that job with 1245.

Until then, I'll be getting back to work now. Stay tuned here on my page for updates and other tidbits to give you some insight into what's coming next for NecroLycan Studios! =)

Stay creepy,

Dani
